We hear much about the importance of strategy, but ultimately it’s results that matter. This two-day workshop links strategy—at the corporate, departmental, sectional, program, or project level—to the performance measurements that are essential in determining whether our strategy objectives are being met and in correcting or refining our aim if they aren’t.
We will begin by examining the inputs and outputs of the strategy, its required activities, and the immediate, intermediate, and ultimate results expected from it. We will see how to develop a strategic measurement framework and determine the type of data required and the appropriate sources of the data. We will address questions such as how frequently the data should be collected and who should be responsible for it. We will also look at how to analyze the data, turn it into information, and share it in clearly written reports. At every stage, we will keep in mind the complexities of the challenge: managing competing priorities, handling decision making, and determining efficiency and economy. You’ll leave the workshop with the tools you need to increase your organization’s efficiency and effectiveness in realizing the desired results of its strategies.
This workshop is recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® and as such will provide 12 PDUs (Professional Development Units) / contact hours towards attaining or maintaining the Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation.
Professional Development Units are allocated according to the number of training hours completed by the student and may be granted by increments of 0.25 PDU for each 15 minutes of training. A participation certificate will be given to students who attend a minimum of 90% of the course.
