Security Challenges, Information Threats and Innovative Responses
in a Disrupted World
The SPI Conference returns to Ottawa on March 5 & 6, 2019
The Security Policy Institute (SPI) of the University of Ottawa will host a major conference devoted to security and information challenges on March 5 & 6, 2019. Building on the success of the Readiness and Resilience SPI conference of 2018, it will address new dimensions of the security challenges of our age and will create a stimulating environment for ideas, learning and exchanges.
The conference will feature distinguished keynote speakers, plenary events, and deep-dive panel discussions. Networking opportunities will be built into the program. One of the unique features of the SPI 2019 conference will be a learning expo, in which exhibitors will have an opportunity to showcase their activities and expertise. Conference participants will be able to network with exhibitors, share best practices, and discuss career opportunities.
SPI 2019, at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, is designed for a diverse audience of public and private sector practitioners and decision makers, opinion makers, academic experts, students, and young professionals in the security and intelligence fields.
SPI 2019 will be a landmark, not-to-be-missed event for public security dialogue in Canada, drawing on both the Canadian and global experience. Stay tuned as we release details of the conference agenda and speakers.
